Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Flooring Sales Associate to join our team. As a Flooring Sales Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to customers looking to purchase flooring products for their homes or businesses. Your expertise in flooring materials and installation methods will be essential in guiding customers through the selection process, answering their questions, and ensuring they find the perfect flooring solution that meets their needs and preferences. This role involves engaging with clients, providing product knowledge, closing sales, and contributing to the overall success of our flooring team!

Responsibilities

· Welcome and greet customers in person, over the phone, or electronically, learn about their project and needs, and help guide them to their perfect floor.

· Develop a deep understanding of the various flooring materials available (e.g., hardwood, laminate, carpet, vinyl, tile) and stay up-to-date with the latest trends, technologies, and installation techniques in the industry.

· Engage with clients in a courteous, friendly, and professional manner. Actively listen to customers' flooring requirements and assist in selecting the right flooring products based on their preferences, budget, and specific needs. Provide guidance on color coordination, material durability, and maintenance requirements.

· Build relationships with associated professionals, contractors, property managers, realtors, and other partners to increase likelihood of referrals and repeat business.

· Input data into the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.

· Generate estimates, process customer orders and handle payment transactions. Ensure that the necessary paperwork and documentation are completed accurately.

· Coordinate with installer as needed and track the progress of Customer’s projects and ensure material arrives on schedule.

· Maintain the appearance and organization of the flooring showroom. Ensure that all samples and displays are well-maintained, clean, and up-to-date. Assist with other internal projects and tasks as needed.

Job Requirements

· Passion for delivering exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills and be able to effectively communicate internally and externally.

· Professionalism to include dependability, accountability and punctuality, exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational and time management skills, and ability to prioritize.

· Must be a self-starter and driven and have strong problem-solving skills and analytical abilities.

· Collaborates well with others and is a positive contributor to the Team.

· Must be 18 years old.

· Bachelor's degree in business administration, communications, or a related field preferred.

· 2-5 years of work experience in a related home remodel retail/sales role

· Must be computer literate and proficient with Microsoft Office.

· The role may involve standing for extended periods, moving heavy flooring samples, and conducting measurements in customers' spaces.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
